Project Scope

HMH was hired as part of the design team for this new retirement village which includes cottages, apartments, clubhouse, fitness center and on-site assisted living care.

Providing quality retirement living is the focus of this project so great planning went into fully utilizing the 120 acre site to create a park-like setting by taking advantage of its rolling topography and breath taking views.

To address concerns of neighboring property owners and to make the retirement village private and intimate, extensive landscape design was incorporated into the project including:

• Plant materials used along property lines of adjacent
   neighbors to serve as natural screens
• Planting materials that compliment the buildings and
   make the detention ponds into water features
• Entry/exit intersections oriented to minimize headlight
   glare into neighboring properties
